Free registration continues for the 1st International Conference on Giftedness and Creativity

-         17 speakers will present their visions during the two-day event organized by King Abdul Aziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) and G20 Saudi Secretariat

-         1 million attendees from all over the world are expected to take part in the virtual conference, which coincides with Mawhiba's 20th anniversary

RIYADH: Online registration to attend the 1st International Conference on Giftedness and Creativity, which will be held under the theme “Imaging the Future," is underway.

The two-day virtual conference is likely to attract 1 million participants from around the world. The event has been organized by King Abdul Aziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) and G20 Saudi Secretariat as part of the International Conferences Program honoring the G20 Saudi presidency in 2020.

The governor of Riyadh region, Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdul Aziz, will inaugurate the event on Sunday under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud.

As many as 17 speakers including Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdul Aziz bin Salman and Education Minister Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sheikh, will attend the conference.

The event, which coincides with Mawhiba's 20th anniversary, will also see the participation of global elites of future foreseers in various fields through a strategic partnership with Saudi Aramco and Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC).

The keynote speakers include Prof. Michio Kaku, a visiting theoretical physics professor at Princeton University and New York University; Neil deGrasse Tyson, an astrophysicist and a host of science-based TV series; and Gerd Leonhard, a European futurist and an author who specializes in the debate between humanity and technology.

Two sessions will be held daily on different topics. Sessions on the first day include “Imagining the future ... empowering talented and creative young capabilities to shape new future prospects," and “The digital world … how will it change the identity of the future?"

On the second day, experts will discuss “The future of innovation and entrepreneurship," and “How global visions shape the future of humanity."

During the conference, the Kingdom will present successful Saudi models from its talented students who Mawhiba decided would lead panel sessions.
