(5813) Male and Female Students Registered Information of their Projects in (Ibdaa 2018)

King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) closed the stage of registration of project information for the students participating in Creativity Olympiad 2018G on 12 Rabia I 1439A.H., corresponding to 30 November 2017G. The total number of registered projects reached 5813 (2658 male students and 3155 female students).

The foundation stated that the stage which follows the stage of registration of information is the stage of electronic arbitration which will be during the period from 1 to 15 Rabia II 1439A.H. corresponding to the period from 19 December 2017G to 02 January 2018G.

Those who are qualified as the finalists will be announced on Tuesday (22 Rabia II 1439A.H.) corresponding to (09 January 2018G), as scheduled. The playoffs and the closing ceremony will be held at AlFaisal University within the period from 6 to 8 Jomada II 1439A.H., corresponding to the period from 22 to 24 February 2018G.

In participation with the Ministry of Education, King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) has announced the end of the initial registration in the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity (Ibdaa 2018G) which continued within the period from 19 Ramadan 1438A.H. to 11 Safar 1439A.H., corresponding to the period from 13 June to 31 October 2017G.) and the launch of the phase of registration of project information through the website www.ibda.org.sa within the period from 12 Safar to 12 Rabia I 1439A.H., corresponding to the period from 1 to 30 November 2017.

The number of male and female gifted applicants in the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity "Ibdaa 2018" of Saudi and Non-Saudi Nationals from public schools reached (76305 students) with an increase of 115% over those who registered in "Ibdaa 2017" Olympiad.

In this regard, His Excellency the Secretary- General of King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba); Dr. Saud Bin Saeed Al Mathamy praised the successful and fruitful partnership with the Ministry of Education and its role in creating the appropriate atmosphere for male and female students in the educational stages of public education and their contribution in the discovery and support of the talented and the brilliant students in our beloved country and in the development of their scientific projects.

Further, His Excellency Dr. Al-Mathamy commended such support which provides a competitive environment that absorbs the interests of male and female gifted students of the nation, fosters the spirit of creativity in the scientific and technical fields, and works  upon providing them with scientific research skills which lead to the development of their talents by encouraging them to develop them along with development of their capacities through the stimulating scientific competition and the honorable representation of the Kingdom in the international forums with creative projects. 

It is worth mentioning that the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity (Ibdaa) is a judged creative scientific competition which goes through several organizational stages based upon competition in one of the scientific fields, through presenting of individual scientific projects in accordance with the standards and conditions of the project. Such competition is judged electronically by a number of academics and specialists pursuant to scientific standards for identification of the distinguished projects and nominating them for the higher competitive stages and then sharing them with the most important international scientific competition in the name of the Kingdom.
