Kingdom's Gifted Students when 3 Bronze Medals at the Youth Science Olympiad in the Netherlands

The national gifted students who participated in the Youth Science Olympiad which was held in the Netherlands during the period from 15 to 24 Rabia I 1439 A.H., corresponding to the period from 3 to 12 December 2017G won three bronze medals in their participation for the third consecutive year in such competition, in partnership between (King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba)) and the Ministry of Education. 
As for the details of this new national achievement, students: Osama Al Ali, Ahmad Al Mohana and Hosaam Noor Waly won three bronze medals. The kingdom participated with a team of six gifted students (5 male students and one female student) who were trained for two years in cooperation with Kingdom Abdullah University of Science and Technology and King Saud University.

The gifted students' team who represented the Kingdom in the Youth Scientific Olympiad competed with about 300 male and female students who were representing 488 countries.

In order to achieve its vision and objectives, King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) has sought to win more medals and awards in the name of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the end of this year in order for the total number of medals and awards attained in 2017G to be: 51 medals, 4 major prizes, 3 special prizes, a number of appreciation certificates (7 gold medals, 15 silver medals, 20 bronze medals, and 9 certificates of appreciation) in various international participation in different scientific fields.

On this occasion, His Excellency the Secretary General of Mawhiba; Dr. Saud Bin Saeed Al Mathamy thanked His Excellency the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz and His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz- May Allah save them- for their patronage of the gifted students of the Kingdom, in general and for the support and care provided by the leadership and the country to King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), in particular, which has the greatest impact on increasing the passion of the students gifted in the fields of science, research and creativity to the extent which prepares them to excel in the regional and international competitions and to represent the Kingdom as appropriately fit for its position. 

He pointed to the direct contribution of this support in the attainment of such achievements which are registered in the name of the country. This is not strange from our gifted male and female students. Such contribution was accompanied by remarkable successes in the record of King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) and was reflected on its contribution in the achievement of the objectives of Kingdom 2030 vision.

Further, His Excellency congratulated all the winners, their families, and all those who contributed in their support and assistance and urged all the gifted students to continue their excellence and creativity for the Kingdom to take its appropriate position among the developed countries. In addition, he praised the great abilities of our students which were emphasized by their global excellence; the matter which will contribute to building of creative national capacities that contributes in building of the future of the country which values knowledge and takes bride in those who contribute in the enrichment or production of knowledge for the benefit of all humanity.
