Students of Mawhiba Ammar and Baraa Win Patent for an Invention in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering

 King Abdulaziz & his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity  “Mawhiba” is proud of all the achievements of the sons and daughters of the country that are gifted and creative, and one of those quality achievements is attaining of patent from the Saudi Patent Office by the students Ammar Bin Addulrazzag Amir, and Bara’a Bin Abdulrazzag Amir regarding the invention with which they participated in “Mawhiba” initiatives  within the strategy and plan of talent and innovation, and this achievement reflects the message of King Abdulaziz & his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity “Mawhiba” and these creative and innovative students will become the most important stream for the country and its prosperity, through quality scientific initiatives starting from exploring the talents of the homeland’s creative sons and provide all the potentials and services to nurture and foster the gifted as well as guiding them to reach the highest levels  of distinction and superiority, prepare and enable them through local contests at the national level in order to qualify them to participate in the international competitions striving to reach high level of advanced countries scientifically and technologically contributing to the attainment foundation goals to correspond with the Saudi Vision  2030.

Ammar and Bara’a patent attainment that they participated in the National Olympiads for Scientific Creativity “Ibdaa” in 2015, that is organized by King Abdulaziz & his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity “Mawhiba” in partnership with the Ministry of Education and their patent won the first place and also gold medals through their participation in the exhibition in international (ITEX) for inventions and innovations and technique Thailand. The distinctive invention was titled: hexadecimal screwdriver. It is a tool that includes many shapes of screwdrivers in one tool without the need to unscrew and put the suitable shape, the screwdriver deals with the heads of nails and fixed headers which means using more than 20 individual tools. These two students have participated in National Olympiad for scientific Creativity “Ibdaa 2017”, Bara’a Amir has won the fourth place for his research: (a study comparing nasal cavity holders of (CA-MRSA) bacteria in the Eastern area of Saudi Arabia), in the field of Biomedicine and health sciences and two other special awards from the the colleges of knowledge and the other one is from King Saud Medical Complex. While, the student Ammar Amir has won the third place for his research ( effect of change in activation patterns of proteins that transfer ammonium on coral bleaching that is resulted from high level of dissolved nitrogen) in the field of animal science and participated in Intel ISEF 2017 in Los Angles, and he has won the fourth place. In addition to the International Enrichment Programs, that the two students have joined International Summer Program in Center for Talent Development Northwestern University in 2015. In 2016, the student Bara’a joined Emory Precollege Summer Program. The student Ammar also joined an advanced program presented by the Saudi Research Science Institute KASUT in addition to local enrichment programs and programs to improve the personal skills.

On his part, His Exellency the Secretary-General of King Abdulaziz & his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity“Mawhiba” Dr. Saud Bin Saeed Al-Mathami congratulated Ammar and Bara’a and their families and everyone who contributed to their support on the occasion of attaining their patent from Saudi Patent Office for their invention that they worked on through nurturing them in programs and foundation programs and initiatives. Praising the super capabilities our students possessed by achieving permanent and consistent distinction which will contribute to building national creative potentials.

Al-Mathami praised the direct support received by the foundation from our wise leadership featuring the achievements and outstanding success in the march of King Abdulaziz & his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity “Mawhiba” and the reflection in contributing in enhancing the national character and building the local content striving to enlarge its role in achieving targets of Saudi Vision 2030.
