The Kingdom Wins Five Major Awards and Three Special awards among 80 Countries

For the thirteenth time, the gifted of the country shine at Intel ISEF.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by King AbdulAziz and His Companions for Giftedness and Creativity “Mawhiba” and the Ministry of Education for the thirteenth year in a row, won five major awards and three special awards during its participation in the Intel ISEF2019, Arizona, from May 12 to 17.

Grand award winners are: Abdullah Al-Sinan, Dima Al-Mulhim, fourth place in environmental engineering, Woud Al Sadoun, fourth place in the field of chemical energy, Haya Al-Tuwaijri, fourth place in plant sciences, and Shouq Madani, third place in environmental engineering.


The Saudi team participating in the Intel ISEF competition this year also won three special awards: Shawq Madani, a scholarship from the University of Arizona, Woud Al Sadoun, a special award from United Technologies, and Noura Al Dosari, a special award from the US space agency NASA.


His Excellency Dr. Saud Al-Mutahmi, Secretary-General of King Abdulaziz & his Companions Foundation for Giftedness & Creativity “Mawhiba”, dedicated this achievement to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense. Due to their generous patronage and continuous support for talented and creative people and their constant guidance on the need to invest in minds and develop intellectual capital and to prepare qualified human cadres to participate in realizing the vision of the Kingdom 2030.

Dr. Saud Al-Mutahmi also valued SABIC's contribution to the Saudi team participating in Intel ISEF 2019, stressing the importance of the strategic partnership between Mawhiba and SABIC for the benefit of the country and its talents to contribute to realizing the vision of the Kingdom 2030 and the National Transformation program 2020 , as well as, investing in the country's capital through human resource by nurturing the talented, developing their knowledge, and enhancing their skills, which reflects SABIC's social responsibility strategy.


During the Intel ISEF 2019 exhibition, Mawhiba presented special awards for the 10th year in a row, a total of 14 awards worth $ 99,000, awarded to projects in the scope of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in the fields of: machine learning in chemistry or environmental applications, machine learning in biomedical applications, Robotics innovations, and smart solutions in cybersecurity.
