​​Mawhiba Honours the Winners and Trainers of the 2019 International Olympics


 

His Excellency Dr Saud bin Saeed Al-Mathami, Secretary-General of King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity "Mawhiba, honoured the winning students and trainers in the 2019 International Olympics, during the Winter Forum at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology “KAUST”, in which the Kingdom was represented by Mawhiba and the Ministry of Education.

His Excellency honoured 16 Students who achieved medals in the name of the Kingdom in regional and international scientific competitions during 2019.  He also honoured 9 male and female trainers who have contributed to the Mawhiba Foundation for more than 10 years in training science teams participating in international Olympiad and winning prizes.

 The list of honoured students includes:

- Ahmed Al-Haid from Al-Anjal National Schools for Boys, in Al-Ahsa, winner of the Gulf Physics Olympiad.

- Osama Al-Ali, from Riyadh Schools, winner of the International Chemistry Olympiad and the Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad.

- Thanaa Al-Haidari from Umm Salamah High School for the Gifted in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, winner of The European Girls' Mathematical Olympiad and the Gulf Mathematics Olympiad.

- Hamza Al-Sheikhi, from Al-Falah High School, Makkah Al-Mukarramah, winner of The Balkan Mathematics Olympiad (BMO) for “Juniors”.

- Hussam Nurouli from Al-Falah High School, Makkah Al-Mukarramah, winner of the Gulf Physics Olympiad.

- Khaled Al-Ajran from Manarat Al-Riyadh Schools, winner of the International Mathematics Olympiad, the Balkan Mathematics Olympiad, the Gulf Mathematical Olympiad and The Asian Pacific Mathematics Olympiad (APMO).

- Khaled Al-Jabri from Al-Falah Secondary School in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, winner of the Gulf Mathematics Olympiad and The Asian Pfic Mathematics Olympiad (APMO).

- Abdul Rahman Al-Ahmadi, from Al-Falah High School, Makkah Al-Mukarramah, winner of the Gulf Mathematics Olympiad.

- Fares Bassiouni from Ibn Khaldoun High School, Yanbu Industrial Education Department, winner of the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI).

- Muhammad Al-Debisi from the Altahtheeb Privet School in Qatif, winner of Balkan Mathematics Olympiad “Juniors “.

- Muhammad Al-Shehri from Enayah Private School in Riyadh, winner of Balkan Mathematics Olympiad “Juniors “ and The Asian Pacific Mathematics Olympiad (APMO).

- Marwan Al-Khayat from Al-Falah High School, Makkah Al-Mukarramah, the winner of the International Mathematics Olympiad, Balkan Mathematics Olympiad for Juniors, the Gulf Mathematics Olympiad and The Asian Pacific Mathematics Olympiad (APMO).

- Moath Al-Ghamdi from Al-Falah High School, Makkah Al-Mukarramah, winner of Balkan Mathematics Olympiad for Juniors.

- Nawaf Al-Ghamdi from Al-Hussan High School (Boys), Eastern Province, winner of the International Mathematics Olympiad, Balkan Mathematics Olympiad, the Gulf Mathematics Olympiad and The Asian Pacific Mathematics Olympiad (APMO).

- Hisham Al-Malki from Manarat Al-Riyadh Schools, winner of the European Physics Olympiad and the Gulf Physics Olympiad. ​

His Excellency Dr Saud bin Saeed Al-Mahtami has also honoured 9 Saudi and non-Saudi trainers in the fields of Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and English for their role in training and qualifying Saudi teams to win prizes in the International Olympics competition.
