Mawhiba Trains 400 Teachers and Leaders in Partnership Schools on 16 Programs in Professional Development

The Foundation Continues to Present its Programs Remotely

​​​PHOTO-2020-03-18-15-28-55a.jpgKing Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity have yesterday completed the last "Mawhiba" courses of the professional development project for the academic year 1440-1441 AH, which included 16 training programs provided to 400 teachers and leaders in partnership schools in more than 45 schools nationwide, directly through attendance or Indirectly through the talent online learning portal. ​

The programs offered by the Partnership Department with the schools in the "Mawhiba" foundation focused on developing and training teachers and leaders of the partnership schools on several topics, including Talent psychology, science and mathematics teaching strategies, as well as quality management in educational organizations; to provide them with best practices in dealing with gifted students and developing their capabilities in providing enrichment curricula for gifted students through the best teaching strategies, and enabling teachers to prepare appropriate assessment methods for gifted students.


In the same context, the initiative of King Abdulaziz and his men for talent and creativity, "Mawhiba", for distance education continued by providing its various training programs to its students through virtual classes by a group of top trainers, to ensure the continuation of the course of their education in its various programs and to enable them to continue their education from their homes, after suspending education in schools and universities and closing most businesses to contain the Coronavirus.

 The intensive training is carried out through virtual classes with open working hours through distance learning systems, which allow the trainer to use the latest educational methods, the students and coaches to have direct communication, in addition to the continuous supervision feature of the scientific coordinator to monitor the quality of training.


 The distance education initiative included the Mawhiba Advanced Program for Science and Mathematics, which is offered through 108 virtual classes, to more than 1068   students from the school partnership students across the Kingdom by 11   teachers. The number of learning hours is 162 hours, distributed over 6 training days, in addition to providing technical support throughout the implementation period.


 Moreover, 180 students have started the preparation journey for international participation, through virtual classes that started this March the 10th and continue until next April the 30th, for 6 days a week, for 7 weeks, with a total number of 36 training hours per week, to elevate the individuals participating in the competitions to the level of international competition and to represent the Kingdom and win various medals. 


Online training program students were nominated for international participation, among advanced level participants in the Winter Forum, in addition to the second level of the initial levels, in the fields of mathematics, science, biology, informatics, physics and chemistry.


 Virtual classes training included students of "Mawhiba" in the online Spring Forum, in the fields of mathematics, science, biology, physics and chemistry, with the participation of 171 students who were nominated in the Winter Forum first level of the initial levels. 

​​​ The training continues at the online Spring Forum for 11 weeks, and its aims to prepare an elite group of the Kingdom’s students to participate through the introduction of advanced concepts in the International scientific Olympiads, to identify new solution strategies, to deal with complex scientific problems skillfully, and to raise performance level in qualifying tests.​
