Secretary-General of Mawhiba Congratulates Leadership on Kingdom’s Awards Received in European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad

His Excellency the Secretary-General of Mawhiba Dr Saud bin Saeed Al-Mat’hami, extended his highest congratulations and blessings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister The Minister of Defense - may God protect them - on the occasion of the Kingdom victory, represented by "Mawhiba", by earning three awards in the European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad, which was hosted by the Netherlands during the period from April 16 to 20, and implemented remotely due to the pandemic of the new Coronavirus. 


The competition witnessed the victory of the students Thana’a Khalid Mohammed Al-Haidari from Umm Salamah High School in teaching Mecca who earned the silver medal, Jude Bahwini from the Quran Memorization School in Yanbu Industrial City who earned a bronze medal and Lara Raed Jameel Manqal from Dar Janaa International school in Jeddah who was awarded a certificate of appreciation.

 

Dr Al-Mat’hami said: “Today, our country is pleased with obtaining a new global achievement, as one of the fruits of the unlimited support and care that the gifted citizens received by our wise leadership - may God protect. An achievement that confirms the reality of giftedness and creativity in the Kingdom, the nation’s wealth with its intellectual capital, and its presence on the world's cognitive map with what is appropriate to it and its status and history. "

 

His Excellency the Secretary-General of Mawhiba pointed out that the Kingdom achieved the 26th position in this competition, ahead of ancient countries such as Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Canada, the Netherlands, India and Greece, so that the country can move forward in achieving the goals of 2030 vision by making Saudi education among the best education among the first two-third of the world’ countries. 

 

His Excellency expressed his appreciation for all the efforts made for the honorable presence of the Kingdom among the countries of the first world, which came as a reflection of what the gifted citizens receive, including care, support and motivation that leads them to the podiums and the representation of the country in the best way possible, to be added to the record of the achievements of the comprehensive development process witnessed by the Kingdom under the leadership of The Servant of The Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince, and their constant guidance in investing in human capital, supporting it and providing the appropriate environment for it for more creativity, and contributing to its renaissance and sustainable development.

 

Mawhiba provides extensive training to students in the Kingdom’s schools in science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and informatics, at a rate of one thousand hours per academic year by local and international specialized trainers. To qualify them to participate in more than 16 international Olympiad held annually in various countries of the world.​​
