KSA wins (7) global awards in the Cyberspace Mathematical Competition 2020

22jul2020.pngThe Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), won 7 international awards during its participation for the first time in Cyberspace Mathematical Competition (2020CMC), which was virtually held in the USA among 74 countries and 518 students.​​​

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), won 7 international awards during its participation for the first time in Cyberspace Mathematical Competition (2020CMC), which was virtually held in the USA among 74 countries and 518 students.


 

The Kingdom's mathematics team participating in the competition won one silver, 3 bronze medals, and 3 certificates of appreciation. Student Khalid Al-Ajran from the Riyadh Education Department won a silver medal, while Marwan Khayat from the Makkah Education Department, Nawaf Al-Ghamdi from the Eastern Region Education Department, and Thana Al-Huidari from the Makkah Education Department each won a bronze medal.


 

Furthermore, students Hamza Al-Shaikhi from the Makkah Education Department, Muhammad Al-Debaisi from the Eastern Education Department, and Muhammad Al-Shehri from the Riyadh Education Department, each won appreciation certificates.

 
The Kingdom's mathematics team participating in the competition included students Hamza Al-Shaikhi from the Makkah Education Department, Muhammad Al-Debaisi from the Eastern Education Department, Marwan Al-Khayyat from the Makkah Education Department, Joud Bahwini from the Yanbu Education Department, Nawaf Al-Ghamdi from the Eastern Education Department, and Thanaa Al-Haidari from Makkah Education Department, Khalid Ajran from Riyadh Education Department, and Muhammad Al Shehri from Riyadh Education Department.

 
The Mawhiba Foundation, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, supervised the preparation of the Kingdom's mathematics team participating in the competition. Such team underwent intensive training programs for several years, exceeding thousands of hours, in addition to basic educational curricula by experts and specialists to develop their skills and qualify them to enter the competition, and soundly prepare them, to be up to the task and competing for the talented students of other countries, and achieving advanced positions in their first participation in this competition.

 
The Cyberspace Mathematical Competition (CMC) is a free international online competition, and a high-level online invitation for high school students and all major countries are keen to participate therein. The Cyberspace Mathematical Competition provides a rich opportunity for young mathematics students in the world to deal with difficult and interesting issues, and to meet their peers from other countries.
