Under the auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz - may God preserve him -, the King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), within the activities accompanying the Twentieth Summit, organizes the first international conference on giftedness and creativity, which is inaugurated by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh, during the period from 8 to 9 November 2020, and was decided to be held every two years.
This conference, which was directed by His Highness to be held every two years, comes from the unlimited support provided by the Nation's leadership of the King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) since its establishment 20 years ago. This conference is presented in an innovative way that combines actual attendance and virtual lectures, within the activities of the G20 summit, following health precautionary measures Approved, and virtually with the participation of local, Arab and international personalities.
The Secretary-General of the King Abdulaziz Foundation and his Companions for Giftedness and Creativity, Dr. Saud bin Saeed Al-Mutahmi, explained that “the conference is a message from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the world, and in it is a prospect for the future and an enhancement for the Kingdom's global leadership in developing talented and creative young capabilities to form new future horizons and confirm the ability of talented and creative people to make the world. The default and efficiently employed."
He added, "the conference foresees the future of virtual reality and its impact on human development and broadening the scope of international cooperation through effective partnerships to develop human capital from talented, creative and innovative young energies to face global developments and challenges."
He continued, "this conference will be a global platform for virtual communication, bringing together specialists, interested people, leaders, and policymakers, to support and empower talented, creative and innovative youth from different parts of the world, and international and local speakers will be attracted to speak at the conference, and many regional and global initiatives in caring for talented people will be announced. Through him, he will present the Kingdom's march through twenty years of nurturing the talented, as a model for pioneering experiences in the world through Mawhiba's program.
The conference will address several axes, the most prominent of which are: Sponsoring Gifted students in the Kingdom; as a model for pioneering experiences in the world, and Mawhiba… The Journey of twenty years, in establishing the virtual world by investing in talented and gifted people, the future of science and technology, and caring for these talents in light of virtual reality, the virtual world in the face of global crises and challenges, and the most prominent global practices in developing the young energies of talented, creative and innovative people; investing in the care of talented, creative and innovative people and its effects on societies. Along with the virtual knowledge exchange between talented people, innovators, innovators, specialists and those interested in them from all over the world.
On the conference platform, the Kingdom will present global successful examples of its talented students, students of “Mawhiba", who the King Abdulaziz and his men for giftedness and creativity to decide to take over the management of discussion sessions, in which prominent international and scientific names in various fields will participate, where they will talk to the world in the field of scientific exploration, Virtual reality, artificial intelligence and dealing with international challenges and achieving developmental sustainability.
It is noteworthy that the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) is the first institution in the world in the field of talent discovery, nurturing, and empowerment, as it succeeded in discovering and sponsoring more than 161 thousand talented students from Saudi Arabia, and expanded its work in various countries, and recorded international successes It culminated in 384 international wins in original scientific competitions.
