17 Global Prominent Figures Anticipate the Future of World

​​On the stage of the World Conference on Giftedness and Creativity0ct2120201a1.jpg on 8 November Seventeen prominent speakers anticipate the future of the world and how it will be in various fields, on the platform of the International Conference on Giftedness and Creativity, organized by the King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity "Mawhiba" and the Saudi Secretariat of the G20, within the program of international conferences held on the sidelines of the year of the Saudi Presidency of the G20, and under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz - may God protect him. It will be initiated on his behalf by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh, from 8 to 9 November 2020.


The two-day conference includes 4 dialogue sessions; two sessions per day, and the main high-level opening session is entitled: "Imagining the Future ... Empowering Talented and Creative Young Capabilities to Shape New Future Horizons," with the participation of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy, and His Excellency Dr. Hamad bin Muhammad Al - Al Sheikh, Minister of Education, and in the presence and participation of UNICEF Executive Director Henrietta H. Fore.


The conference will witness the participation of 3 keynote speakers, namely: Micho Cocoa, a physicist and a future science seeker, visiting professor at both Princeton University and New York University, and he has written more than 70 scientific articles that have been published.

The conference will also include the astrophysicist and scientific television presenter Neil DeGrasse Tyson, whose research work focused on the fields of physical cosmology, the evolution of stars, the galactic bulge, galactic astronomy and the birth of stars.


Moreover, the conference will include Gerd Leonhard, a futurologist and author specializing in the debate between human and technology, one of the digital media consultants and the author of the book Technology versus Humanity.


The first day of the conference concludes its activities with a second dialogue session entitled: "The Digital World… How Will It Change the Identity of the Future?", in which His Excellency the President of the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence (SADAI), Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, along with the CEO of NEOM, Engineer Nazmi  Al-Nasr, Anthony Saltico, Vice President of Global Education at Microsoft, along with Hong Eng Koh, Chief Scientist for Global Government Industries at Huawei will participate therein.



The conference will initiate its second day sessions with a session entitled: "The Future of Innovation and Entrepreneurship", with the participation of the co-founder of Skype and former Chairman of the Board of Directors of icloud Jonas Kjellberg, in the presence of the founder of the Siri system on Apple phones, and the former chief engineer of Apple working on the iPhone, Adam Teshir, together with the Vice Chair of the Advisory Board for Creative Projects in California, and co-founder of Tract Learning, specializing in the education of 8-year-olds, Esther Wojski, in the presence of the former chief scientist at Amazon and a member of the German Digital Council Andres Wegend.


The second dialogue session of the second day of the conference will be initiated under the title "Global Visions ... How to Shape the Future of Humanity", with the participation of the former director of the National Association for Gifted Children in the United States, Sally Chrisel, along with the President of the European Council of High Ability (ECHA), Lian Hogfen, in the presence of the Director of the Malaysian National Center for Gifted Education Nouriya Mohammed Sheikh, and the participation of the Director of the Department of Education and Skills at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, who is responsible for PESA tests, the international standard for measuring the quality of educational systems in different countries, Andres Schleicher.


It is worth noting that the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity "Mawhiba" is the first institution in the world in the field of talent discovery, nurturing and empowerment, as it has succeeded in discovering and caring for more than 161,000 talented students from Saudi Arabia. It expanded its work in various countries and achieved international successes, which culminated in 390 qualitative international wins in original scientific competitions.
