Mawhiba Secretary General Meets with Coursera CEO

HE. Dr. Saud Al-Mathami, Secretary-General of King Abdulaziz & His Companions Foundation for Giftedness & Creativity, met today at the Foundation's premises with the CEO of Coursera, Mr. Jeff Maggioncalda.

During the meeting, the partnership between both parties was strengthened through a cooperation contract between Mawhiba and Coursera to train and qualify more than 10 thousand gifted students in the scientific and technical fields.

Moreover, a set of licenses were submitted during the meeting for outstanding specialized (scientific and skill-based) courses for gifted students, which are offered through the widespread Coursera educational platform, along with contributing to the development of student abilities, and providing a qualitative enrichment of what is offered to gifted students by expanding student knowledge and expertise in various scientific issues that affect their lives and their communities.

It also addressed the provision of digital content authoring tools, the transfer of expertise to the Mawhiba Foundation, the provision of access to projects directed at education, and making them available to the beneficiaries of the Foundation free of charge.

It is noteworthy that Mawhiba entered into a 3-year contract for cooperation with the globally-spread Coursera last November, in the presence of the Company's president in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Mr. Anthony Tattersall; to benefit from the Company's global presence through its global platform to recruit distinguished and gifted people to major technology companies.
