​​​​​What is the Mawhiba Advanced Program for Science and Math?​

It is a program that targets elementary and intermediate students who have been nominated after releasing the results of Mawhiba Multiple Cognitive Aptitude Test (MMCA) within The National Program for Gifted Identification. This program aims to expose gifted students to advanced learning experiences that are more extensive and deeper than those offered in their regular schools to motivate them to discover more concepts of Math and Science, and to release their potential, this program is held during after school timing.

 

 
What’s the program’s rationale?
This program will provide gifted students with in-depth learning opportunities that will enrich them and challenge their abilities, by teaching them Mawhiba Curriculum for Science and Math, which was designed in collaboration with foreign and Arab expertise. Moreover, the curriculum is integrated with the Ministry of Education curriculum, which is taught by specialized teachers who can meet the needs and interests of gifted students.

 
What are the targeted grades that can join the program?

All grades in the elementary and intermediate stage.

 
What is the program’s implementation process?

The program is applied directly either through physical centers distributed in some cities, or through virtual centers that serve gifted students in all regions of the Kingdom.

 

In which cities is the program offered in currently?

The program is implemented through physical centers in the following cities: Riyadh – Jeddah – Makkah – Al Khobar – Sihat – Alahsa. 
As well as virtual centers that serve gifted students in all regions of the Kingdom.

 
How are students chosen to join the Mawhiba Advanced Program for Science and Math?

Gifted students are chosen through The National Program for Gifted Identification, which is an independent program for student selection by applying the (MMCA) Test in partnership with the National Center for Assessment (Qiyas). The General Directorate of School Partnership determines the cut point to join the program.

 

What are the conditions for a student to join the Mawhiba Classroom Program?
  • ​Passing Mawhiba Multiple Cognitive Aptitude Test  (MMCA), that held in cooperation with Qiyas Center.
  • Registering in the system, filling out the application and paying the required fees for the program.
  • The student must be living in the program city (applies to the physical centers only).

 
How long is the program?

Nine days every school semester.

 

Are there any financial aids that Mawhiba provides?

There are certain groups of students that are excluded from paying the program fees, which can be found through the registration system.

 

What curricula are taught in the Mawhiba Advanced Program for Science and Math?

Advanced curricula in math, science, and computer science.

 

Can the Mawhiba Classes Program and Mawhiba Advanced Program for Science and Math be combined?

No.

 
When can a student register in the virtual center?

A student can register if he/she achieves the required cut point to join the program.
