Based on our awareness at Mawhiba of the importance of the school environment, as one of the basic components of the concept of creativity and giftedness, we launched the “Mawhiba Classes” program in the academic year 2009/2010, in cooperation with a number of public and private schools in the Kingdom, where the schools were selected according to precise specifications, in terms of infrastructure, teaching methods, evaluation methods, learning methods, and teacher qualification.
Mawhiba Classes Program is implemented in collaboration with the National Center for Assessment (Qiyas) and a number of selected public and private schools in the cities covered by the program. *
Enrollment in Mawhiba classes is exclusive to students registered in the National Program for Discovering Gifted Students
• To provide gifted students in Grades 4 through 12 with an additional advanced curriculum, internationally recognized, alongside the curriculum approved by the Ministry of Education.
• Enrollment in Mawhiba Classes is exclusive to students registered in the National Program for Gifted Identification.
• Enhancing performance levels in selected schools dedicated to creative and gifted students, and supporting them in meeting the standards of effective school quality.
• Empowering schools to implement advanced curricula in core subjects and to use appropriate teaching, learning, and assessment strategies, in order to develop the abilities of gifted students and enable them to gain admission to prestigious universities.
• Engaging parents in the education and upbringing of their children, and promoting the principle of community participation.
This pillar is dedicated to developing comprehensive methods, standards, and tools for identifying high-performing public and private schools that meet the criteria for partnership with Mawhiba. It includes the application of these standards through multiple evaluation stages to assess schools interested in joining the Mawhiba Classes Program. Based on the evaluation results, recommendations are formulated to guide the selection of eligible schools. The pillar also encompasses the selection and training of local evaluators to ensure the consistent and effective use of Mawhiba’s evaluation standards during the school selection process. In addition, it focuses on creating tools and strategies to enhance the performance of participating schools and on coordinating professional development and training programs for the staff of partner schools, in collaboration with the training pillar.
The training pillar aims to raise awareness among key groups about giftedness, creativity, the characteristics of gifted students, and effective strategies for supporting their development. It seeks to establish a stimulating educational environment that nurtures gifted students both in classrooms and across schools and their wider communities. Additionally, this pillar focuses on providing teachers with the strategies needed to effectively implement Mawhiba curricula and integrate them with the existing curriculum developed by the Ministry of Education. A primary objective is to deepen teachers’ understanding—especially those working with gifted students—of the activities and methodologies used in Mawhiba’s programs. The training initiatives are designed to engage a wide range of stakeholders, including school coordinators, principals, teachers, and parents.
This pillar focuses on overseeing the implementation of advanced supplementary curricula in science and mathematics. These materials are designed to offer a variety of advanced activities that complement, rather than replace, the curricula developed by the Ministry of Education. The primary objective of these curricula is to promote the development of various aspects of the gifted student’s personality, including a deeper knowledge and understanding of key concepts and topics by enriching their knowledge with modern, in-depth information. The curricula emphasize advanced skills specific to the academic subjects, such as understanding major concepts, clarity of ideas, and the development of complex cognitive structures. In addition, they aim to foster essential values, attitudes, and traits, including curiosity, risk-taking, creativity, confidence, open-mindedness, and cooperation, as well as various skills including generalization, reasoning, critical thinking, self-reflection, communication, and dialogue.
The Evaluation Pillar is designed to monitor and assess the effectiveness of the Mawhiba Classes Program while promoting a student-centered learning environment. It emphasizes the importance of evaluation as a tool for learning, not just a measure of learning outcomes. This pillar focuses on equipping all program teachers with comprehensive training and covers a variety of assessment methods, including authentic assessments, performance evaluations, peer assessments, self-assessments, project-based assessments, and the maintenance of student achievement portfolios.
To achieve the above, an end-of-year test was conducted for Mawhiba students in mathematics and science, based on the advanced Mawhiba supplementary curricula starting from the academic year 2011-2012. The focus was on the set of standards that the Mawhiba curricula aim to meet regarding the performance level of gifted students in partner schools, helping to assess their progress over time.
The Parent Support Pillar aims to involve parents in the educational process of their sons and daughters by organizing meetings that introduce Mawhiba curricula and assessment methods. It also focuses on educating parents about their role in the educational process and supporting the program's activities in fostering communication with parents.

• Studying advanced curricula in science and mathematics, which will enhance various aspects of the gifted student’s personality by focusing on advanced knowledge and understanding, fostering creativity, utilizing logical arguments, emphasizing attention to detail, and developing logical thinking, reasoning, and the ability to form abstract mental images.
• Providing opportunities for many Mawhiba students to participate in a range of local, national, and international competitions and programs for gifted students, achieving notable accomplishments such as medals, top positions, and awards.
• Enabling many Mawhiba students to secure spots in the most prestigious local and international universities.
Mawhiba is expanding its collaboration with qualified educational institutions interested in providing support for gifted students, through partnership agreements with schools that meet the criteria for nurturing giftedness and creativity.
Selected partner schools, enrolled in the Mawhiba Classes Program, receive a comprehensive range of services. These include training programs, educational consultations, and supplementary curricula developed in collaboration with leading local and international educational experts. Moreover, Mawhiba provides these schools with a distinguished group of gifted students, thereby contributing to raising their overall performance levels.
In an effort to broaden opportunities for supporting gifted students and to encourage the participation of both public and private schools, Mawhiba has introduced a set of partnership models for joining the Mawhiba Classes Program.
This model is designed for partnerships with public schools for gifted education, or public schools that already have gifted classes in various education departments, provided they meet the criteria for partnership schools. The goal is to reach a wider segment of gifted students. This model includes the full suite of services offered to partner schools: identifying and nominating top gifted students, providing advanced supplementary curricula, teacher training, educational consultations, and a broad set of assessment tools. Oversight and follow-up responsibilities fall under the purview of the Gifted Education Departments in the respective education authorities. The continuation of this model is directly linked to students' performance in the annual assessment conducted at the end of each academic year. The initial agreement spans three years and is renewable.
It is a contractual model between Mawhiba and selected schools, specifically designed for schools located in small and medium-sized cities, with the possibility of implementation in the outskirts of major cities where no partnership schools currently exist. This model ensures that schools benefit from the full range of services provided by Mawhiba, including the nomination of top-performing gifted students, delivery of advanced supplementary curricula, teacher training, educational consultations, and a wide array of assessment tools. In return, participating schools are required to cover the costs of at least 250 free student registrations for the Mawhiba Multiple Cognitive Aptitude Test (MMCAT) as part of the National Program for Gifted Identification, promoted through a dedicated awareness campaign. Additionally, schools must offer no fewer than 20 scholarships annually, distributed as follows: 5 seats for scholarships with a 100% discount, 5 forscholarships with a 50% discount, and 10 for scholarships with a 25% discount - each granted for a period of three years per student.
Scholarships are allocated based on the performance level of nominated students in the Mawhiba Multiple Cognitive Aptitude Test (MMCAT), with higher test scores resulting in greater tuition discounts offered by the school. Full (100%) scholarships are granted to students in Grade 4, Grade 7, and Grade 10. Scholarships covering 50% and 25% of tuition are available for students in all grade levels.
At the end of the first year, the school’s performance is evaluated based on its effectiveness in promoting the MMCAT and its commitment to program implementation. If the school successfully meets the criteria, a new agreement is signed, and the school is transitioned to the Classification Model.
This is a contractual model between Mawhiba and selected schools that ensures access to the full suite of services offered by Mawhiba, including the nomination of top-performing gifted students, provision of advanced supplementary curricula, teacher training, educational consultations, and a wide range of assessment tools. In return, schools are required to offer a minimum of 40 scholarships annually, distributed as follows:
10 seats for scholarships with a 100% discount, 10 seats for scholarships with a 50% discount, and 20 seats for scholarships with a 25% discount, each awarded for a period of three years per student. Scholarships are allocated based on the performance level of nominated students in the Mawhiba Multiple Cognitive Aptitude Test (MMCAT), with higher test scores resulting in greater tuition discounts offered by the school. Full 100% scholarships are offered to students in Grade 4, Grade 7, and Grade 10, while partial scholarships 50% and 25% are available for students across all grade levels.
After a three-year period, the school's performance is re-evaluated. If the school successfully meets the required standards, a new agreement is signed, and the school is transitioned to the Partnership Model.
This is a contractual model between Mawhiba and selected schools, ensuring that schools benefit from the full suite of services offered by Mawhiba - including the nomination of top-performing gifted students, provision of advanced supplementary curricula, teacher training, educational consultations, and a wide range of assessment tools. In return, schools are required to offer a minimum 50% tuition discount on approved seats for gifted students nominated by Mawhiba. This discount applies to students from Grade 4 through Grade 12. After another three years, the school's performance is evaluated once again, and if it continues to meet the standards, the agreement is renewed. This model is designated for schools that already have active agreements with Mawhiba, as well as those that have successfully completed the required term under either the Support Model or the Classification Model.

1. The nominated student is entitled to enroll in one of the Partnership Management Programs with Schools: either the Mawhiba Classes Program or the Mawhiba Advanced Program infor Science and Mathematics; however, enrollment in both programs simultaneously is not permitted.
2. If a student who does not meet any of the nomination criteria attempts to access the registration link, a message will appear indicating the unmet requirement.
• The grade does not match the criteria/is not available (Registration is not available for this grade in the student’s city based on their gender).
• The gender does not match the criteria (Registration is not available for the student’s gender for this grade in their current city).

3. A student may withdraw from the program at any time during the registration period. However, once the preferences are submitted and finalized, the withdrawal request becomes void.
4. Admission is based on merit, considering the MMCAMMCAT test score and the availability of seats, according to the student’s preferences. The highest-scoring students will be placed in their first choice, followed by the remaining preferences. If seats are filled, students who are not placed will be moved to the waiting list.
5. Upon accessing the registration system, a summary will be displayed showing the student’s expected grade level for the upcoming year, gender, and the cities where they are eligible to register. Example: Middle School – Seventh Grade 7 – Partnership ProgramModel – Girls School – Yanbu.

Teaching Mawhiba curricula in the program is available in both Arabic and English, depending on the school the student is enrolled in based on his choice. The test at the end of the program is identical to the language of instruction.
Yes, students’ performance is evaluated twice during the year:
First evaluation: Teachers’ evaluation of students within three frameworks. In this evaluation, students’ performance is measured in each framework independently according to the following:
The first: (referenced) in which the student’s performance is evaluated in light of the degree of achievement of the objectives specified in the subject.
Second: (norm-referenced) in which the student’s performance is evaluated in comparison to the performance of his classmates.
Third: Growth Reference) which compares the student’s current performance with his previous performance. Each framework is divided into four levels of performance, ranked by the best performance from 1 to 4.
The second evaluation: (the annual Mawhiba test) is held at the school under the supervision of a Mawhiba team, and is implemented at the end of the academic year, with the aim of ensuring that students have benefited from the program. Its scores are not included in the students’ overall achievement, but if students’ poor performance on this test continues for two consecutive years, they may be excluded from the program .
The program is implemented using the same mechanism used in general education and according to the decisions of the Ministry of Education.
Interactive e-books via (Semanor platform), and the student can view them and download a copy of them through his account on the Mawhiba e-learning platform.
All gifted students are placed in a special class and are supplemented by distinguished students from the school's student body.
The financial contribution depends on the type of scholarship the student receives. There are two types of scholarships:
• Free scholarships for 3 years are offered to the first intermediate and first secondary grades, in some partnership schools, and admission preference is based on the scale score.
• Knowledge support grant: This is a reduced grant of up to 50%, offered to all grades, in all partnership schools. The guardian is responsible for paying the financial contribution to the school the student is enrolled in.
Mawhiba provides financial support to students who benefit from the Social Security Program, according to its approved mechanisms. This amount is determined later and is not considered an alternative to financial contribution.
Gifted students are selected through the National Program for Giftedness Identification, an independent student selection project in partnership with the National Center for Assessment (Qiyas), which implements tests to identify gifted students.
The results of the Mawhiba Scale tests are determined later, and students are informed of the results via text message service. Announcing the results requires a period of no less than one month, during which the test is reviewed by “Qiyas”, then sorted and the criteria are applied to ensure fair distribution of accepted students, according to the programs available to them, by the “National Program for Discovering the Gifted”. The result is inquired about on the “Project Page” through the Civil Registry after the student receives a text message informing them of the results.
After announcing the results of the Mawhiba scale, students who have achieved the qualification level for the Mawhiba Classes programme are nominated, through the electronic distribution system, to choose the schools they desire within the group of partnership schools.

Yes, the grade shown in the system is the student’s current grade, but the student begins the program in the next grade at the beginning of the new academic year.
The student must re-register if he moves from one level to another. However, if he moves between classes in the same level, he does not have to re-register, but rather continues automatically.
No. The guardian is responsible for verifying that the student is not registered in both programs together. If this is proven, Mawhiba has the right to cancel the student’s registration in any of the partnership programs.
Yes, the student has the right to withdraw from the program if he wishes to do so, provided that he coordinates financial matters with the school and fills out the withdrawal form and explains his reasons through the talent coordinator at the school. After that, the student does not have the right to request to return to the program.
Yes, the student has the right to request a transfer from one school to another according to the following procedures:
- If the transfer request is internal within the same city, the transfer request is submitted through the Talent Coordinator at the student’s current school. The coordinator, in turn, submits the request to Talent to be studied. If there is a possibility in terms of capacity, the transfer is completed and the student is informed of this in order to transfer his file to the required school.
- In the event that the transfer request is external between partnership schools in different partnership cities, the transfer request is submitted through a talent coordinator in the student’s current school, provided with documents proving the family’s residence has moved to the city to which the transfer is requested. If the documents are correct and there is a possibility of transfer in terms of capacity in the school to which the transfer is requested, the transfer is completed and the student is notified of this in order to transfer his file.
Yes, the student has the right to freeze the scholarship for one year only if the guardian travels outside the country for work, study or treatment and the student accompanies him, provided that the freeze request is submitted through the school coordinator, providing the required documents proving the travel for the mentioned reasons.
No registration request for the program was rejected, but due to the large number of registrants compared to the number of available seats, the student was transferred to the waiting list and will be contacted during the coming period, God willing, if a vacancy becomes available.
Admission to schools is for students with the highest score on the Talent Scale and is limited to students registered through the system.
If all siblings are accepted into Mawhiba classes, their acceptance into a specific school will be based on each one’s score on the Mawhiba scale, as priority in acceptance goes to students with the highest score on the scale. Any student who does not pass the scale will not be accepted, even if his or her brother or sister is among those accepted into Mawhiba classes.
Registration is for current year students only, as stated in the program’s admission requirements. No registration request for the program will be rejected by Mawhiba. However, due to the large number of registrants compared to the number of available seats, some students will be transferred to the waiting list, and will be contacted during the coming period, God willing, if a vacancy becomes available.
The student may be in a city not targeted for registration.
No registration request will be accepted after the registration deadline announced on the official website and other sites.
Transfer does not prevent the student from being accepted into the program. The student can submit a transfer request to one of the schools in the city to which he is transferring, along with the necessary documents proving his transfer, and he will be notified if he is accepted.
Yes, students will be notified if there are no vacant seats.
Yes, this is possible directly through the registration system if all the required documents for the amendment are available. However, the student cannot complete the arrangement of desires in the program until the application is closed.
Yes, the student can submit an apology request for the Mawhiba Classes program directly through the registration system. During the registration period, he can withdraw the apology request by simply re-entering the registration system and then completing the arrangement of desires before the specified closing date.
Transfer does not prevent the student from being accepted into the program. The nominated student can submit a request to change the qualification city through the system, along with the necessary documents proving his transfer, and follow up on the status of the request through the system.
He was not nominated because the mother’s nationality was not updated in the student’s file on Mawhiba’s website. Please submit a data update request through the (Contact Us) page with the following documents (mother’s family card - birth certificate - student ID) and he will be able to register directly after updating the data.
The qualification score is one of the basic requirements for admission to the program and the specified score is the basis for nomination only. You can view other Mawhiba programs available to the student through his record on the Mawhiba portal.
The schools shown in the registration system are the schools that have seats available for students in the Talent Classes for this grade according to the student’s gender for the upcoming academic year. The included schools shown on the program page are a general list of each school that has a Talent Class available, depending on the grades, stages, and section (boys-girls).
