About the program
The International Standards Olympiad is held annually in South Korea as an international competition for middle and high school students from all over the world to demonstrate their knowledge in the field of specifications, standards and quality and exchange new ideas about them.
The Saudi team participated for the first time in the nineteenth season of the International Standards Olympiad in 2024 with three teams, each team consisting of three students; as it is the first Arab and Gulf team to participate in this competition.
The Kingdom's team was selected in cooperation between the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity "Mawhiba", the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization and the Ministry of Education; according to a time plan that includes training programs and tests; and qualifying and preparing the team to participate in the International Olympiad.
