Saudi Arabia has officially received the flag for hosting the 2025 APhO, one of the largest scientific events in Asia.

The event will witness the participation of 27 countries, reflecting the Kingdom's significant international recognition and its prestigious position in the scientific and educational fields.

Dr. Amal A. Al-Hazzaa, the Secretary General of Mawhiba, emphasized that hosting such prestigious international Olympiads demonstrates Saudi Arabia's global strength and commitment to shaping a future consistent with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, as envisioned by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. She stated that the Kingdom aspires to be a successful and pioneering model internationally in all areas, bringing together innovators and gifted individuals from around the world to create something extraordinary.

The 2025 APhO will take place in May next year, organized by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) and the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM).

This cooperation reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to advancing science and knowledge, as well as encouraging students to engage in such international events.

Hosting the event reaffirms Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to develop its education system, while also providing an opportunity to strengthen communication and collaboration with other countries in science discipline. The event will offer rich educational and interactive opportunities for students and young aspirants from all over Asia, enriching their educational experiences and inspiring innovation by sharing ideas with peers who specialize in the same domain.

With this achievement, Saudi Arabia strengthens its place on the world scientific scene by emphasizing its leadership role in sponsoring important scientific events and hosting events that encourage academic and scientific excellence.

This APhO will be the second hosted by Saudi Arabia, which is also preparing to host the IChO next month, which will be attended by 90 nations and organized jointly by Mawhiba, the Ministry of Education, and King Saud University, and exclusively sponsored by SABIC.
