86 Students Win Special Awards at the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity “Ibdaa 2025”

A total of 86 students were awarded special prizes at the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity “Ibdaa 2025,” organized annually by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education. The winners received their awards in the presence of Acting Secretary-General of Mawhiba, Dr. Khalid Al-Sharif, and the Ministry of Education’s Deputy for Educational Programs, Dr. Saad Al-Harbi.


Mawhiba stated that 13 leading national and international organizations and institutions presented special awards to outstanding project participants at the Ibdaa Science and Engineering Fair, held at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University from February 3rd to 6th 2025. A total of 49 awards were presented by local entities, while international organizations contributed 37 awards.


Ten special awards sponsored by the Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) were awarded to: Nour Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Saghir, Jude Bandar Mohammed Al-Mufidi Asiri, Jana Sami Jaber Al-Ajeifi Al-Sulami, Maryam Abdulaziz Bin Khalid Al-Muhaish, Mishari Badr Bin Mohammed Al-Dhibani, Hashem Ali Bin Habib Al-Hussain, Ahmed Faeq Bin Mostafa Kamal, Jamal Mohammed Bin Suleiman Al-Loqmani, Faisal Khalid Abdulrahman Al-Sheikh, and Nour Hani Bin Shaker Al-Madan.


Ten awards presented by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and Academy 32 were went awarded to: Leen Nafal Eqab Al-Shuraifi Al-Kuwaikibi, Juwan Rayan Bin Ghazi Hindi, Lulya Youssef Bin Ayed Al-Qahtani, Najd Hamid Bin Mohammed Al-Ghusna Al-Ghamdi, Areej Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al-Qarni, Abdulraouf Mohammed Mahmoud Zahran,Omar Abdulaziz Bin Abdulhay Al-Sadaran Al-Ghamdi, Hammad Ahmed Bin Hammad Al-Dosari, Reza Mohammed Bin Mahdi Al-Hussain, and Nawaf Adel Saeed Al-Ghamdi.


Ten special awards sponsored by ExxonMobil were awarded to: Azzam Khalid Abdullah Al-Omari, Sara Mohammed Bin Abdul Latif Badiwi, Haneen Fawaz Ahmed Al-Ghamdi, Rashid Majid Ahmed Al-Rashed Al-Ghamdi, Tamim Ibrahim Bin Jamaluddin Khan, Faisal Khalid Bin Ali Al-Najrani, Saba Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al-Othman, Basma Abdulrahman Bin Mohammed Al-Mansour, Rima Abdullah Nasser Al-Aloula, and Omran Omar Bin Abdulhamid Al-Turkiestani.


The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties honored six exceptional students with its awards: Faisal Saad Hamad Al-Abdullatif, Mayar Marwan Mohammed Al-Huthail, Lana Yahya Mohammed Nouri, Raseel Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Sunbul, Osama Othman Osama Radi, and Salman Abdulrahman Hassan Al-Qibli Al-Shahri.


Muna Muhannad Abdulrahman Al-Naeem and Tala Waleed Omar Al-Muqrin received the two awards offered by the Saudi Electricity Company. Qusai Ismail Ibrahim Fatani and Nour Faisal Khidr Al-Arjan Al-Atawi received the two awards from the Saudi Investment Recycling Company (SIRC).


In recognition of scientifically gifted youth, the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) honored six outstanding students: Anas Talal Abdullah Maloush, Rital Hamdi Ahmad Shatibi Al-Jawi, Areeb Nawaf Naif Al-Otaibi, Fares Abdullah Ghazi Al-Tammam, Fatimah Ali Ramadan Abdelalim, and Yara Abdulaziz Mubarak Al-Hazmi.


The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) awarded its three prizes to Jouri Adel Ibrahim Al-Tuwaijri, Faisal Yousef Abdullah Al-Hanti, and Sahar Othman bin Riyadh Al-Humaidan. The American Psychological Association (APA) granted its three awards to Deem Mohammed Raheel Al-Rashidi,Youssef Ammar Mohammed Malibari, and Hala Saeed Mohammed Al-Shahri.


The awards sponsored by Ricoh were won by Rasel Abdullah bin Rashid Al-Harbi, San Hussam Abdel Fattah bin Sadiq, Lamar Hani Khairy Al-Agha, Faisal Mohammed Salem Al-Qahtani, Fajr Abdulaziz Abdullah Al-Hamlan, Sarah Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Ali Al-Abbad, Abeer Ali bin Nasser Al-Yousef, Yara Mohammed Suleiman Al-Bakri, and Zainab Hussein bin Ahmed Al-Mohsen. Additionally, Lina Satam bin Mala’a Al-Yabsi Al-Mutairi, Fares Badr bin Hamoud Al-Dubasi, Rylan Abdelilah Yahya Dayhi, and Rania Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Salem Al-Qahtani received awards granted by the Society for Experimental Biology.


Ten awards sponsored by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) were awarded to Bayan Adnan bin Abdulrazzaq Al-Awad, Abdullah Hashim bin Taher Al-Nasser, Hassan Hamza bin Mohammed Sultan, Fawaz Ahmed Mohammed Al-Salbi, Iman Thamer Abdullah Al-Mazeed, Salaf Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Ruqeibah, Sama Ahmed Ali Bukhamseen, Wissam Wael Youssef Al-Ghamdi, Anas Hussam Ahmed Azzam Al-Amasi, Abdulaziz Raja Yahya Al-Furaidi Al-Harbi, and Layan Amr bin Issam Mukhlis.


Ten awards presented by the Yale Science and Engineering Association (YSEA) were won by Dana Mohammed Mahja’ Al-Jaafari Al-Anzi, Rand Ibrahim bin Abdullah Al-Mahboub, Hazem Mohammed Talhab Al-Roqi Al-Otaibi, Manar Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Obaid, Rand Al-Hassan Hamoud Awadhah, Retaj Othman Mohammed Saeed Rahmatullah, Nesma Nasser Hassan Samsam, Mohammed Salem bin Salem Al-Mansour Al-Yami, Al-Jawhara Saud Abdullah Al-Qahtani, and Maram Ahmed Mansour Hakami.


The distribution of special awards today precedes the grand prize ceremony by one day, as the winners will be announced tomorrow, Thursday, during the Olympiad’s closing ceremony, held under the patronage and in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Riyadh Province.


In its 15th Edition, the Fair—representing the fifth stage of the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity "Ibdaa 2025"—witnesses the competition of 200 research and innovation projects submitted by students who qualified through the central exhibitions. These projects were selected from over 23,000 submissions in 22 scientific fields, chosen from a record-breaking pool of more than 291,000 students from every region of the Kingdom.
