King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) Participates in the Fourth Scientific Forum for Talent and Creativity Research

With the Participation of 19 Experts and Specialists in the Field of Fostering Talent and Creativity

King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) participated in the Fourth Scientific Forum held at King Faisal University from 25th to 26th Rabia I 1439A.H.; corresponding to 13th to 14th December 2017G.

The Fourth Scientific Forum which was called by the National Center for Talent and Creativity research at King Faisal University discusses a number of distinguished scientific topics; including: spreading awareness of the culture of talent and creativity, establishing a mechanism for effective partnership between public and higher education for fostering the gifted students, identifying the best international practices to discover the gifted students, in addition to shedding the light on the strategic plans of Saudi Universities and their role in fostering talent, creativity and innovation.

His Excellency Engineer Nabeel Al Haqbany; the General Manager of Planning and Projects at the Foundation represented King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness  and Creativity (Mawhiba) in the forum. He presented his study during the forum (on Fostering the Gifted University Students: World Experience and Suggested Programs). Such study included 50 world universities and targeted 312 programs which were presented to brilliant and talented students; including Oxford, Stanford, Chicago, Toronto, Tokyo and other universities.

The study presented an analysis of the quality of the programs presented which were divided into two axes: enrichment and accelerating programs. Further, the study provided a detailed explanation of the apprenticeships and leadership programs and included a presentation about "Mawhiba" students who are affiliated to pioneer world universities. The number of annual enrolled students is 200. Mawhiba helps them to be accepted at the most prestigious universities, follows them up, and provides them with all necessary services and care. It is expected that the number of those students reach 2000 by 2022G.

It is worth mentioning that such participation of King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) is one of the several external participation of the foundation which aim to contribute to the spreading of the culture of talent and creativity and to highlight the role of "Mawhiba" in this field and to shed the light on the remarkable successes in the record of King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) and how this is reflected on the contribution by such foundation in the achievement of objectives of the Kingdom's 2030 vision.
