Girls of the Kingdom Win Three Awards at the European Olympiad of Mathematics


The Kingdom, represented by King Abdulaziz & his Companions Foundation for Giftedness & Creativity “Mawhiba", won two silver and bronze medals and a certificate of appreciation at the European Mathematical Olympiad, held in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev from 7 to 13 April 2019 among more than 49 countries, In international scientific competitions.

The student Ghadir Dagestani won the silver medal, while student Thana Al-Haidari won the bronze, and the student Rifa Qansh, a certificate of appreciation. The kingdom has outperformed other countries such as Finland, Belgium, Spain, Norway, Switzerland and Denmark.

 

His Excellency Dr. Saud Bin Saeed Al-Mutahmi, Secretary General of King Abdulaziz & his Companions Foundation for Giftedness & Creativity “Mawhiba", extended his congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense.

His Excellency said that this achievement is the result of a successful cooperation between Mawhiba, the Ministry of Education, and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in a long-term partnership to build and strengthen Saudi human capital to contribute effectively to sustainable development.
