The Kingdom Enters the International Olympiad in Informatics


S​saudi_team.jpgaudi Arabia will participate for the first time in the 31st International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) held in the Republic of Azerbaijan, to compete with 87 countries over eight days starting August 4.

The Kingdom is represented at the International Olympiad in Informatics by a team of four students: Faris Ibrahim Bassiouni, Abdullah Al Alouni, Mohammed Al Rifai and Ziad Al Amri. The participating team underwent a nine-week intensive training at KAUST University under the supervision of IT specialists.
The International Olympiad in Informatics is the largest annual international competition in the field of informatics targeting students under the age of twenty, and is held in one of the member states of the International Informatics Commission.
