​Mawhiba Launches the Winter Forum Event to Train 620 Students to Participate in the International Olympiad

​​​ King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity "Mawhiba" has recently launched the 2020 Winter Forum to train and prepare science teams in the fields of Informatics, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Science, in collaboration with its strategic partners: King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), the Royal Commission for Jubail, and Princess Noura University in Riyadh.


620 students, from various regions of the Kingdom, have received intensive scientific training by a group of qualified and competent Saudi and foreign experts in Informatics, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Science and Chemistry, along with those who have previously participated in the International Olympics as students and won several medals. The training duration exceeds 760 hours for 12 days. 


At the end of the Winter Forum, the Kingdom’s teams will be selected to participate in international scientific competitions and forums during 2020, and some trainees will be nominated for higher levels of training and invited to attend the training forums held by Mawhiba every year.


Following the goals of Vision 2030, the 2020 Winter Forum emanates, aiming to participate in international scientific competitions. The 2020 Winter Forum is considered the first training event held by Mawhiba Foundation annually, and the beginning of the journey for talented males and females to gain the honour of representing the country in international forums.
