Intellectual Property Offers an Intellectual Property and Gifted Program for Winners of the Ibdaa Olympiad 2020

​The Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property, in cooperation with the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity "Mawhiba", presented a training program for ten male and female students of "Mawhiba" winners of the special award presented by the Authority in the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity (Ibdaa) 2020, and their projects were judged by a team of referees formed by the Authority, as part of the awards presented to participants in the Olympiad, to build Saudi cadres, raise the level of capabilities and develop them in the fields of intellectual property.

 
The training program was under the title of: "Intellectual Property and the Gifted," which lasted for five days during the period from 22 November to 26; with a total of 5 training hours; An hour a day. The program, which was remotely implemented, aims at broadening the horizon of trainees about intellectual property and its fields, the World Intellectual Property Organization and its pivotal role in the world and the Kingdom's accession to its membership, and to inform the trainees about the nature of the work of the Intellectual Property Academy and the projects it supervises in partnership with the World Intellectual Property Organization.


Furthermore, the training included the four basic concepts for the establishment of intellectual property, in addition to a tour to learn about the nature of the work of intellectual property examiners in the fields of patents and trademarks, and to present some strange inventions in the world of patents to the trainees, in addition to discussing the topic of popular heritage, and the enforcement and respect of intellectual property.
